Whose Garden Is It?
Little lionheart
Thinks I can’t see him lurking
His garden, not mine.
Meet my head gardener, Ben. And let’s get clear – it’s his garden, and I am his volunteer gardener. I do it for head butts.
Ben loves the garden more than life itself. It’s his place to hide, stalk critters, graze, watch things I can’t see, and smell the flowers.

Our daughter chose Ben from a shelter when he was 7 months old. He and his litter mates had been found living rough in the B.C. interior, nursed to health, and sent down to TLC Pet Adoptions in Aldergrove. Ben has a huge personality and more than 9 lives. We heart him dearly!
When we moved to the Okanagan and she shortly thereafter moved into an apartment nearby, she knew she couldn’t keep him with her in that small space. He lives with us now, and has the run of the garden wherever we live.
Do you have a furry companion that keeps you company in the garden? Please let us know!
