The Quotable Gardener: March 2022
Happy Spring, gardeners! How glad we all are to see the official finish line of this endless winter, for so many reasons. Let’s have a great year in the garden, which is one of the most healing places I know of.
“In the Spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.”
Canadian writer Margaret Atwood
I wish….snow on the way!
What’s a little (a lot?) of dirt under your fingernails if you’re happy? 😀

Hi Carolee! My deepest sympathies! I have heard about your weather lately. We have had so much snow here in BC too – maybe a few flurries tonight again. But it’s almost gone in our back yard and I have begun digging my pots of transplants out of the ice. Best wishes for warmer weather!

I smell dirty everyday. not a good thing.
Lol, if you love your work then it’s a grest thing!
